Coming soon: Spelling Tests!

Tonight we will be doing an in-class writing assignment.
TOMORROW we will review last night's reading and have a short spelling test on the fill-in words. You can cut and paste the whole document into the spelling site and practice the words:http://www.esldesk.com/spelling/word

I was eating dinner when I remembered that I needed milk. I was putting on my shoes to go to the store, but then my shoelace broke. I was hopping to the bedroom to find another one when the phone rang. I answered the phone; it was my best friend. As I was talking to my friend, the doorbell rang. I was hopping to the door to answer it, and I tripped and fell. The phone flew out of my hand and crashed into a vase and knocked some flowers over. A big pool of water formed on the floor, with my phone in the middle of it.
“Please call an ambulance,” I said to the door. “I think I broke my leg.”
“OK,” a voice yelled back. “But the door is locked. Can you unlock it?”
That was when I started crying.
