As you can see, we say it a lot in the US.... some people even teach their dogs to say it:

"I love you"
In the movie "Pursuit of Happyness" the father tells the son several times, "I love you." Do you say this out loud in your family? How does your native culture feel about this? Please write 3-5 sentences in your blog, using "always, usually, sometimes, occassionally, never" about using this phrase with people in your family. (For example, I sometimes tell my son that I love him.)
